Both the LG C5 and LG B5 are among the top TVs I’ve tested in 2025, and while it can be difficult to choose between the two, there are excellent deals on both models.
If you’re in the US, the LG C5 55-inch is available for $1,196.99 at Amazon US. Also, the LG B5 48-inch is available for $549.99 At Best Buy, which is a record-low price.

LG C5 or LG B5: which is right for you?
Both the LG C5 and LG B5 are among 2025’s best OLED TVs, offering tons of features and great gaming performance and picture quality. It can be tough to know which one is best since, on paper, they both cover all the bases. I actually tested the LG C5 and LG B5 side by side and found it was a much closer battle than I expected.
Both TVs offer excellent picture quality, but where the C5 stands tall is its brightness. With almost 500 nits higher peak brightness than the B5, pictures had more punch when I watched movies such as Elemental.
Colors also looked bolder and richer on the C5, giving movies such as Wicked more pop. But the B5 was no slouch here either, delivering vivid colors as well in movies such as The Sound of Music.
It’s a similar story for contrast and shadow detail. When I tested both TVs, blacks looked deep and rich in dark movies such as The Batman and Dark City. The C5 has the stronger overall contrast of the two, however, thanks to its higher brightness.
If you are looking for the best overall picture quality, you should spend more for the LG C5, but the B5 still delivers a brilliant picture.
For gamers, you’re spoilt for choice here. Both the C5 and B5 are among the best gaming TVs I’ve tested, and both have a full suite of features such as 4K 120Hz support (the C5 supports up to 144Hz), FreeSync, G-Sync, ALLM and Dolby Vision gaming. Both also boast an ultra-low 9.2ms input lag time for responsive performance. When I played intense battle sequences in Battlefield V, both sets handled it easily.
The B5 does come out on top in one area: value. It delivers excellent performance, holding its own against the C5 in most areas. And based on the Black Friday deals (including the ones above), the B5 is the better bang for your buck. For example, the LG C5 55-inch costs $1,199.99 / £1,099.99, whereas the B5 55-inch costs $899.99 / £899.99.
If I had to pick one model today, it would be the LG B5. If budget doesn’t matter, the C5 is the superior TV, but if you want the best Black Friday bargain, for my money, it’s the B5.
