We’ve had some great new movies recently, but sometimes we can’t get out to the theater to see them. Luckily for us, the best streaming services are often quick to snap up the biggest titles, meaning we can catch up from the comfort of our living rooms (or wherever you prefer to stream).
I was really impressed by the new additions as they’re all big titles that received great reviews from critics. You don’t want to end up scrolling through 63 new Prime Video movies, so I suggest skipping straight to these ones. You won’t be disappointed.
Drop
RT score: 83%
Director: Christopher Landon
Runtime: 95 minutes
Age rating: PG-13
Arriving on: November 1
Online dating is a huge part of modern culture, and Christopher Landon’s latest movie explores a darker side to it. Drop follows Violet, a widowed mother who goes on her first date in years.
She arrives in an upscale restaurant to meet Henry, her charming date, but her pleasant evening turns into a nightmare when she begins receiving threatening messages from an unknown sender, ordering her to kill Henry otherwise they’ll kill her family.
It’s a gripping, thrilling mystery that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat.
Mickey 17
RT score: 77%
Director: Bong Joon-ho
Runtime: 139 minutes
Age rating: R
Arriving on: November 1
Bong Joon-ho, in my opinion, is one of the best directors working today. With titles like Parasite and Snowpiercer under his belt, I was very excited to see where he’d go next. Mickey 17 is surreal, sometimes unsettling, and darkly funny too. Everything you’d except from one of Bong’s movies.
Here, Robert Pattinson plays the titular Mickey, who joins a space colony as an ‘Expendable’, a disposable worker who is cloned every time he dies. By the time we meet Mickey, he’s done it 17 times, hence the title.
It’s such a unique concept with some stellar performances.
The Iron Claw
RT score: 89%
Director: Sean Durkin
Runtime: 132 minutes.
Age rating: R

Even if you don’t really care about wrestling, this is still a very engaging movie. The story follows the Von Erich brothers as they make wrestling history in the early 1980s. The brothers seek larger-than-life immortality on the biggest stage in sports, no matter the cost.
