The action-thriller is frequently branded From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, but Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) is imposing herself on a universe that has no idea what it’s let itself in for. A product of the Cult and the Ruska Roma crime syndicate who’s suffered at the hands of both, the only box she’ll answer to is the one that buries her.
You can watch Ballerina online from anywhere with a VPN and potentially for free.
At the behest of Winston (Ian McShane) and under the tutelage of Nogi (Sharon Duncan-Brewster), Eve immerses herself in the traditions of the Ruska Roma. But above all else it’s the fabled Kikimora, a friend to the virtuous and a scourge on the wicked in Slavic mythology, which shapes Eve’s philosophy.
Rather than strengthening her link with the Ruska Roma, however, a close brush with Cultists ends up crystallizing her dissent, and threatening to set the Director (Anjelica Huston) and the Chancellor (Gabriel Byrne) on a calamitous collision course.
Set during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and also starring Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus and, in his final screen appearance, Lance Reddick, Ballerina is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes with a 76% approval rate (here’s our review).
