Week 17 is sudden-death for the Ravens, Lions and Buccaneers – though the Ravens still have an outside chance of making the playoffs as AFC North champions. It’s a strange old position to be in but they might not be in purgatory for long, because Lamar Jackson has picked up a back injury ahead of the clash with the Packers, and the Steelers are up against the hapless Browns.
The Buccaneers’ situation is even more urgent. Todd Bowles’ men, who have collapsed during the second half of the regular season, have no more margin for error. On the positive side, they’re up against the already-eliminated Dolphins this weekend.
Unfortunately, the Christmas Day triple-header has largely been ravaged by injuries and poor form, but there are some belting games further afield – in addition to the matchups detailed above.
The Eagles vs Bills is a potential Super Bowl preview, and although both teams already have playoff spots secured, they can still improve their seeding. There’s a clash of division leaders on the cards too, as the Seahawks, flying high in the NFC West, take on the NFC South’s top cats, the Panthers.

How to watch NFL Week 17 live streams in the US
Coverage of NFL Week 17 is even more convoluted than usual, with games being shown on Netflix and NFL network, in addition to the usual mix of Prime Video, Fox, CBS, NBC, ESPN, Fox One, Paramount Plus, Peacock and ESPN Unlimited.
If you’re a cord cutter and wondering how you’ll get access to the big TV networks, covering all your bases may not be quite as tricky as it looks.
Sling TV, for example, is an OTT service that gives access to a good proportion of games. Its Sling Blue package ($51 per month) offers local NBC and Fox channels in most major markets, as well as NFL Network, while Sling Orange ($46 per month) carries ESPN. Or you can combine them with the Orange + Blue plan for $66 per month ($35 for first month).
A costlier but even more thorough alternative is Fubo TV, which includes CBS, Fox, NBC, ESPN, ABC and NFL Network – nearly all the TV channels you need to tune into the NFL this season. Prices start at $84.99 a month but new users get a FREE Fubo trial.
Netflix starts at $7.99/month; Prime Video at $14.99/month after a 30-day free trial; Fox One at $19.99/month after a 7-day FREE trial; Paramount Plus at $7.99/month after a 7-day FREE trial; Peacock at $10.99/month; ESPN Unlimited at $29.99/month.
